Hey, I’m Liv!

Okay, confession: I once spent three hours choosing a faucet. THREE HOURS. My husband thought I’d lost my mind. But when I finally found the perfect unlacquered brass bridge faucet with just the right curve? Pure joy. If you get that feeling – that little spark when a space finally clicks – then we’re going to be great friends.
I’m a home design enthusiast, content creator, and the voice behind this little corner of the internet. I started this blog because I believe everyone deserves a home that feels like them – without needing a massive budget or a design degree to make it happen.
A little backstory? I never planned to work in interiors. I studied communications in college and spent my early twenties working in social media marketing. But somewhere between renting my first tiny apartment and endlessly scrolling Pinterest at 2 AM, I realized I was completely obsessed with how spaces make us feel.
I started decorating my own place with thrift store finds, DIY projects, and a lot of trial and error. Friends started asking for advice. Then friends of friends. Then strangers on the internet. And honestly? I loved every minute of it.
So I took the leap. I left my 9-to-5, started this blog, and never looked back.
What I Believe About Design
I’m not here to tell you there’s one right way to decorate. I don’t believe in design rules that make people feel bad about their choices. My approach is simple:
Your home should feel like you. Not like a showroom. Not like someone else’s Pinterest board. Like YOU.
I love mixing high and low – a vintage rug with an IKEA sofa, brass hardware on builder-grade cabinets, fresh flowers from the grocery store in a fancy vase. It’s all about balance, not perfection.
I also believe good design doesn’t have to cost a fortune. Some of my favorite spaces were made on tight budgets with creativity and patience. I’ll always share ideas that work for real life, real families, and real wallets.
A Few Things About Me
- I live in San Diego, California with my husband Jake, our daughter Nora (she’s three and has very strong opinions about the color pink), and our extremely lazy golden retriever, Benny.
- My coffee order is oat milk latte, iced year-round – because San Diego weather lets me get away with it.
- I’m a Virgo, which probably explains why I reorganize my pantry for fun.
- My guilty pleasure is watching home renovation shows with a glass of wine after Nora goes to bed.
- Weekend mornings usually mean flea markets, farmers markets, or dragging my family to “just one more” vintage shop.
- My own home is always a work in progress – and I kind of love that.
What You’ll Find Here
I write about the stuff I genuinely love and use. Kitchen trends, cozy living rooms, bedroom makeovers, budget-friendly DIYs, and all the little details that make a house feel like home. I try to keep things simple, practical, and actually doable.
I also use AI tools to help create some of my imagery. It lets me share ideas faster and show you exactly what I’m envisioning – like a mood board come to life. Every article is written and edited by me, and I only share ideas I truly stand behind.
Let’s Be Friends
I love hearing from you guys. Seriously. Send me a DM, leave a comment, or just say hi. Your questions and stories are my favorite part of doing this.
Thanks for being here. Now let’s make your home feel amazing.

Liv
